After college, Meredith took a job as a client executive for a global public relations agency in New York City. She’d finally landed in the city of her dreams. It wasn’t long before Meredith’s dreams and desires to perform professionally took over. After a year and half of client work, Meredith decided it was time to apply her “P.R.” skills to her own music career.

In the fall of 2005, Meredith had her first studio experience at The Sound Emporium in Nashville, cutting a demo of new material, and later in the studio of Sergio Fernandez, recording a few favorite cover songs. During her time in New York, Meredith regularly sang the National Anthem at Greenwich Polo matches, received praise for her performances in Black Nexxus at the Triad showcases, won open mic nights at Manhattan clubs, and been featured in solo sets in Broadway-area “new talent” nights. Meredith was also a member of the St. Bart’s Singers while shopping her demo and attending auditions in her beloved New York, NY.

In late 2006, Meredith returned to her native Mississippi. As Meredith enjoys getting back to her roots, she continues to pursue a singing career, and her group of supporters continues to grow. Her sound is a juxtaposition of many styles, but maintains a purity and clarity that has existed from the beginning.  She is a regular soloist at weddings, parties, receptions, and sings with various choirs throughout the Jackson, MS area.

Many thanks to Joan Heller, Mary Setrakian, Carol Joy Sparkman and Emily Carter for all their shared wisdom and guidance.
